ROTAX BRITISH KART CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 ROUND 1 @ PF International Kart Circuit | United Kingdom

The 1st round of the Rotax British Kart Championship 2020 comes to Paul Fletcher International Circuit.

PF International kart circuit was first opened in 1994 and was, and still is, the brain-child of Mr Paul Fletcher. The circuit is located in the village of Brandon, close to Grantham, in the lovely Lincolnshire countryside.Over the years, PFi has developed and grown and is now recognised as the UK’s premier Karting facility.During 2011, P.F.I saw perhaps it’s largest transformation to date – a track extention that incorporates a bridge with flyover. This sensational new feature has increased the overall track length to 1382m and helped the circuit to secure it’s International ‘A’ grade track licence – the only kart track in the UK to achieve this level. Attaining this grade of track licence has firmly placed P.F.I on the Global Karting scene and has helped to secure several CIK-FIA kart race events to date.

ROTAX BRITISH KART CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 ROUND 3 @ Clay Pigeon Raceway | England | United Kingdom

Round 3 of the Rotax British Kart Championship 2020 comes to Clay Pigeon

The Clay Pigeon Kart Circuit was founded in the late 1950’s early 1960’s on a disused Second World War Military Hospital site. The original track was built by joining the hut (ward) concrete bases together with tarmac to make a 500 metre track. The Blandford Karting Club was formed and a Royal Automobile Club Permit was obtained and the first ‘official’ race took place on Sunday, 5th May 1963. The circuit has now become a seven day a week business organising Arrive and Drive Sessions, Corporate Race Events and hosting most major championships that tour Britain. Recently Chelborough Ltd. (the circuit owners) has come under the control of Southern Counties Leisure who now own all the leisure facilities surrounding this circuit.

ROTAX BRITISH KART CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 ROUND 5 @ Lydd Kart Circuit | Lydd | England | United Kingdom

Round 5 of The Rotax British Kart Championship 2020 comes to Lydd

Established in 1993, Lydd Kart Circuit is the fastest for outdoor Go Karting in Kent and one of the fastest in the Country. The 1040 meter track is very popular with drivers, whether they be ‘Owner Drivers’ racing their own kart(s) or ‘Arrive & Drive’customers using our Hire Karts. The current layout has existed since an extension was added in 1996, while our Junior Circuit measures approx 500m and is ideal for kids sessions, family sessions or children’s birthday parties. The owner, James Clarke, took control of the Circuit in February 2011 and is investing in his vision of the future of Lydd as a Karting venue. James was a very successful racer here at Lydd, while his son, Cameron, races Senior Rotax 125 with team Clarkekarts.  Clarke Karts Racing Team is now also in full swing, with Cameron & other race team members running owner drivers in various kart classes.  2017 James invested in an awning to further support the Clarke Karts Racing Team when visiting other circuits (our colours yellow & red, so can’t be missed!) .      James is very passionate about Lydd and Karting, so the circuit is in safe hands, and the improvements to the whole venue will continue to be ‘work in progress’. A new storage building for the hire kart fleet has been completed, creating a much better base to work from, while the next phase of James’ original plan to resurface the track has now been done.  In 2016/2017 many customers who have known the track of old have re-visited, feedback for the new track surface continues to be been very positive. Winter 2017/2018 the ‘New Build’ Clubhouse/Cafe/Offices got underway, ongoing build in 2018, nearing the end of 2019 inside walls are being painted, tiling is shortly to be done, electrician has nearly finished, internal doors are on … getting exciting now.
